Tunnel Vision, Video Game, 2022. Awarded Best in Game Design and Development at Vizagogo 2023
Tunnel Vision was a short game demo I worked on in collaboration with four of my classmates during our sophomore game development studio class. We set out to create a mystery/puzzle game set in a recently abandoned subway station, aiming to build an eerie, immersive environment.
I contributed to the project by designing the layout and set dressing, creating textures and decals, modeling assets, programming in Unreal Engine, and producing the sound design. This was my first time working with Unreal Engine, Substance Painter, and Substance Designer, and it became a huge learning experience for me. While it’s not perfect, this project laid the foundation for many of the skills I use today and sparked my passion for game development. I’m proud of how much I learned through the process and how far I’ve come since then.
Assets Created
I modeled and textured the ATM machine model, the crumpled paper model, the bullet case model, and the electrical box models, and surfaced the subway trains. I also created the blood and stain decals seen throughout the game.
